PART 1 (Mar 26, 2022)

1) Knowing what your pelvic floor muscles & deep ‘CORE’ really are, how they function together, and how this system shifts during pregnancy and postpartum.

2) Understanding the BENEFITS of incorporating pelvic floor muscle (PFM) exercise and global exercise during pregnancy (evidence + clinical based).

3) Knowing the basics of CORE CONTROL and COORDINATION. Spoiler alert, this involves more players than just the pelvic floor!

4) Knowing what the ACSM and Canadian guidelines AREN’T saying about PFM conditioning!

5) Understanding the concept of LENGTHENING before STRENGTHENING!

6) Practicing a PFM/Whole body routine that is EASY-TO-FIT in a busy schedule. Practicing control, coordination, & lengthening work with the BEST CUES that work for our clients! LIVE Cueing available if you feel comfortable turning on your cam!

PART 2 (Apr 2, 2022)

1) Knowing what your deep ‘CORE’ really is and how it can change during pregnancy and postpartum. (Quick REVIEW from Mar 26th Workshop)

2) Understanding that the Pelvic Floor Muscle (PFM) is a part of a BIGGER SYSTEM and that PFM exercises are SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST ISOLATED KEGELS!

3) Understanding how breath can impact CORE engagement & what to LOOK FOR in a GOOD CORE ENGAGEMENT.

4) Knowing what is an appropriate intensity or style of exercise for YOUR pregnant body through LISTENING TO YOUR BODY via SIMPLE CUES. #MindfulMama

5) Practicing how and why we do FAST and SLOW Training.

6) Practicing how to tie it all together when you need to engage your core for daily activities during pregnancy and how to take what you’ve learned into early postpartum. LIVE Cueing available if you feel comfortable turning on your cam!
